Rad Power Bikes were sold even after the manufacturer was aware of reports involving severe injuries that occurred when the front wheel suddenly detached, according to lawsuit.
Recalll comes as safety experts are seeing an increase in injuries linked to e-bikes, e-scooter and hoverboard use.
E-scooters and other mobility devices charged by lithium ion batteries continue to cause hundreds of fires and overheating incidents each year.
This year alone, the CPSC has received more than 200 battery fire or overheating reports linked to E-Scooter, E-bike and other micromobility device manufacturers.
E-scooters are associated with the most micromobility device injuries and deaths, followed by hoverboards.
At least four burn injuries have been linked to Ancheer E-bike lithium-ion batteries exploding
